From the 23rd until the 26thof February 2017, a group of MICE operators coming from Spain (12 from Madrid and 9 from Barcelona) has visited the principal congress venues in the Campania region, together with the major historical, architectural and naturalistic attractions of the area. The participants stayed at the Grand Hotel Parker’s. The four-day fam-trip has been full of activities, allowing the Spanish buyers to discover the great MICE and touristic potential of the city of Naples and of Campania. From the Fontanelle Cemetery to the San Carlo Theatre, from the Royal Palace to the Castel dell’Ovo, from the National Archaeological Museum to the Naples Underground, from the congress centres of Città della Scienza to Mostra d’Oltremare, where the participants also enjoyed a pleasant culinary team building at Medeaterranea, the Wine and Food Academy recently inaugurated. The MICE operators also had the possibility to cherish the Caserta Royal Palace and the Salerno historical centre; they carried out site inspections at the Niemeyer Auditorium, at Villa Rufolo in Ravello and in various hotels in both Sorrento and Positano. Before leaving, they also visited the area dedicated to events located into the International Airport of Naples . The fam-trip has been organized by the Tourism Provincial Authority of Naples and by ENIT Madrid with the collaboration of Iberia Express and Vueling. The event has been supported by Convention Bureau Napoli (CBN), who contributed to the success of the trip with the buyers’ selection and the visits to the congress venues partners of the CBN network.
