“Discover Campi Flegrei” is the first launch of 2017 City Sightseeing summer season – as announced by Antonietta Sannino, CEO of City Sightseeing Napoli. Every year we focus on new services to expand the touristic offer and to enjoy not only the beauties but also the excellence of Naples. Today it is time for Bagnoli and the Phlegrean Fields area”.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, “Discover Campi Flegrei”, the low environmental impact red single-decker bus of City Sightseeing Naples leaves from Piazza Municipio with his 29 seats and a multilingual commentary (Italian, English, French and German) and it stops at Città della Scienza ( Science Centre) and Solfatara.
There are 4 departures each day of the weekend: 9.30, 11.40, 13.50 and 16.00 and you can hop on-hop off at the stops along the route. For those who buy Campi Flegrei Shuttle ticket, there are special discounted rates to visit the sites.
“Science Centre and Solfatara are two of the main attractions of the Phlegrean area. Creating a network between transport sector and sites of excellence is the strength for a city that is focusing on the territory knowledge and tourism development of the area.”
The latest survey data provided by City Sightseeing Napoli are very interesting. Compared to 2014, tourist arrivals in Naples have risen from 6% to 15%, and tourists who choose to stay somewhere in town in hotels almost doubled: from 33%, in fact, they went up to 57%. “For this reason in 2017 City Sightseeing decided to invest in an offer that allows a tourist to reach Science Centre and Solfatara in a comfortable and safe way on an exclusive tour bus. And the big news of City Sightseeing Napoli for 2017 are not finished yet.”
